The Sustainability Code is a voluntary certification system, open to all Chilean wine sector companies that wish to implement and verify sustainable practices throughout their operations.
The system establishes requirements and criteria covering environmental, social, economic and governance aspects. Compliance is assessed through audits carried out by independent and authorized Certification Bodies.
Through this process, companies can demonstrate the implementation of good practices, compliance with the requirements established by the standard, and the integration of continuous improvement mechanisms across their different areas and operations.
What does the Code assess?
As a minimum requirement, companies must comply with all applicable national legislation. Building on this foundation, the system establishes requirements and good practices aimed at strengthening sustainable management and continuous improvement.

The governance, administration and continuous development of the Sustainability Code are managed by Wines of Chile through the Consorcio I+D Vinos de Chile. Audits, compliance assessments, certification decisions and certificate issuance are the responsibility of the authorized independent Certification Bodies.
