Once registered in the Certification System, the company must begin the process of implementing the Sustainability Code in the areas and facilities that will be included in the scope of the certification.
This process consists of two main stages:
- ✔ Self-assessment
- ✔ Implementation of the standard
STAGE 1
SELF-ASSESSMENT
- ✔Review the requirements.
- ✔Identify gaps.
- ✔Prioritize critical issues.
STAGE 2
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STANDARD
- ✔Implement the improvements.
- ✔Generate the necessary records.
- ✔Train the work teams.
- ✔Prepare for the audit.
SELF-ASSESSMENT
After gaining access to the intranet, the company must download the available regulatory documents:
- ✔Standard for green, red, and orange zones; and Standard for purple zones.
- ✔Green, red, and orange area checklists; and purple area checklist.
- ✔General Regulations.
- ✔Support forms and guides.
The company must conduct a Critical Points (CP) Self-Assessment to identify its level of compliance and plan implementation before proceeding to the external audit.
Critical requirements are mandatory:Certification requires compliance with 100% of the critical requirements.
Gaps must be corrected: Critical requirements that are not met must be addressed before the audit.
IMPLEMENTATION
Implementation Timeframe
The company must have records of the standard’s implementation for at least 3 months prior to the initial audit. The actual preparation time will depend on each company’s level of progress, its existing certifications, the defined scope, and the initial level of compliance identified in the self-assessment.
🔐 Access to technical documentation
Checklists, the standard, regulations, and supporting documents are available through the Sustainability Code intranet.
