It was established in 1935 when Miguel Viu Garc\u00eda (a Catalan immigrant) and his two sons, Agust\u00edn and Miguel Viu Manent, founded Bodegas Viu in Santiago, Chile, dedicating themselves to the trade and bottling of wines for the local market under the \u201cVinos Viu\u201d brand. In 1966, Miguel Viu Manent dreamed of making his own wines, a dream that came true when he acquired Hacienda San Carlos de Cunaco in Colchagua.
