Founded in 1850, Carmen is the first Chilean winery to have, among other achievements, the rediscovery of Carmen\u00e8re in its vineyards\u2014a landmark event in the world of winemaking that marked a turning point in the national and international wine industry and has established Carmen as a driving force behind the development of Carmen\u00e8re in Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carmen\u2019s team of winemakers and viticulturists has traveled throughout Chile in search of the best locations to harvest its grapes, conducting analyses of soil, climate, and temperature in each region. The result is that today, with over 160 years of experience, the winery owns vineyards in Chile\u2019s finest wine-growing regions for each grape variety, producing premium wines that highlight and express the best of each variety according to its terroir\u2014a commitment that has earned it countless accolades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
